4 Easy Steps to Having a Long and Healthy Sexual Life (Part 2)

Male libido can be damaged by so many factors so it’s almost scary. No wonder one of every 5 men on Earth suffers from a certain erectile dysfunction.

In the first part we’ve talked about the first two steps to having a long and healthy sexual life. We’ve already learned it’s vital to maintain a healthy and balanced diet and keep ourselves physically active. It’s time to get familiar with two other factors that help us keep having regular coituses. Keep in mind that all of these four steps are equally important.

Step #3: Bad Habits
Yes, it’s a tired cliche that smoking, drugs, and alcohol can cause erectile dysfunction among dozens of other health problems. But we, guys, keep ignoring these red warning signs over and over again. No excuses, it’s time for you to decide what you want your life to be like.

– Option 1: you smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day and/or took “painkillers” and other drugs frequently. Normal (and regular) sexual life ended when you were 40;
– Option 2: you took an effort to quit smoking and/or abandon drugs (e.g. went on a rehab). At 60, you still enjoy a woman company from time to time.

It’s not that straightforward with alcohol. Some researchers suggest it’s all about dosage. If you drink alcohol in moderate quantities only on Fridays, your libido will probably not suffer badly. Other scientists report the harm we get from alcohol accumulates in our bodies and may cause erectile dysfunction as time goes by.
As for beer, some of the studies show it can be harmful for men’s health. It contains phytoestrogens in big quantities, and these compounds are turned into female hormone once in a man’s body. The body reacts by reducing testosterone production which hurts libido.

Step #4: Regular Sexual Partner
Sexologists claim that regular sexual partner is one of the key factors to having a long and healthy sexual life. If you have feelings for a woman and both of you are fully satisfied with the sexual life you have, it can be only beneficial for your health and libido.

So here you have it. These 4 steps seem very easy to follow, but we always find it tempting to go off the road. It’s fine to do that once in a while, after all we’re not robots, and human beings we’re made for breaking rules. It’s the constant violation of these rules that results in erectile dysfunctions.
